You may not have travel plans for Spring Break next year (yet), but according to trends spotted on the runways for the spring 2017 season, your style sensibility during the warmer months will likely draw major inspiration from across the globe. This season, designers like Christian Siriano and the duo behind Peter Pilotto hopped on their proverbial planes, trains, and automobiles to infuse their collections with international appeal. While Siriano made a nod to Jackie O's summers in Capri, the billowy silhouettes and vibrant embellishments seen at Peter Pilotto were influenced by the designers' travels to Peru.

To contrast the tribal appliqués, textured hemlines, and colorful prints, makeup artist extraordinaire Val Garland opted to send models down the runway with fresh, dewy skin and a muted pink stain on the lips. Here's how she did it:

Clean Slate

First, Garland evened the models' skin tones with foundation, channeling the flawless complexions that Peruvian women are known for. She then created a glow that would rival the South American sun by dabbing M.A.C. Mixing Medium Shine on cheeks and lids.

Arch Over

Next, eyebrows were brushed upward emphasizing a natural arch. For added hold, Garland swept Brow Set in Clear through the brows, then curled lashes for an eye-opening effect.

Sweet Lips

Finally, Garland finished the look by creating a berry-stained effect using a blend of Lipmix in Crimson and Prep + Prime Essential Oils Grapefruit and Chamomile (available for purchase next spring).

Once you make those Spring Break plans, consider tossing a few of these products into your carry-on to try the feminine Latin beauty look during your trip.
